What is Self-paced Instruction?
Description
Self-paced courses work just as the name implies; Students work through the course materials independently at their own pace. The materials are text-based and presented in short easy-to-understand lessons, (view an example). If a student has questions or experiences difficulty, s/he can contact an instructor via e-mail. Should the instructor find it necessary, s/he will contact the student via telephone or arange a meeting via on-line voice chat to provide more help and/or advice. During the course, students will be given quizzes and projects to complete. At the end of the course, a project is assigned and a final examination given. To complete the course successfully, students are required to complete and turn in the final project and pass the examination with a score of 80% or greater.
